Focus on the Forest Floor

Sometimes it is good to look down at the beauty underfoot. Mushrooms, mosses, and ground cover plants are easy to miss. On a lucky day, a blue spotted salamander or a wood frog may be a memory of your hike. A nuthatch finds a caterpillar to feed on.
