Establish an Endowment

Our goal for 2019 is to update the main destination of the Discovery Center, the Nature Nook. The Nature Nook is the first building that families visit at the Discovery Center. It is responsible for defining the Discovery Center as a Nature Center with its wildlife displays, live education animals, and water quality and aquatic invasive species information.

Our goal is to update this treasure of the Northwoods community by rearranging displays to make them more interactive for children, add more animal mounts for rotating displays, and provide better and more visible habitats for our live education animals. We also would like to update our outreach and educational materials, and add some finishing touches to the Teal and Tadpole Classrooms. This will broaden our presence in the community and help disseminate information about our natural Northwoods land and water resources.

We are asking for donations to help us achieve this goal to provide a more accessible and interactive educational resource and promote the Discovery Center's mission to enrich lives and promote an ethic of care for Wisconsin's Northwoods.
