Garden Club
The Discovery Center Garden Club is for those who love gardening and want to connect with other gardeners, those who love native plants and botany, and anyone who is interested in learning more! With dedicated volunteers and help from staff, we reestablished our garden club in the summer of 2022!
Our mission is to grow native plants, clean food, and bonny gardens.
Our Goals Are:
- Engage citizens in native habitats to support pollinators, wildlife, and other native fauna.
- Promote growing sustainable, healthy, clean food.
- Beautify the Discovery Center through caring for its landscape and gardens.
- Support the Discovery Center's mission to enrich lives and inspire an ethic of care for Wisconsin's Northwoods through gardens and botany.
2025 Native Plant Sale
Support the North Lakeland Discovery Center while you provide food for monarchs, habitat for birds, and beautify your property. All proceeds from the sale will be used to support the Discovery Gardens and native landscaping on campus.
All orders are due by March 15, 2025.
Order pickup will be Friday, June 13, 2025 from 12 - 3 PM at the Discovery Center.
Become a Volunteer
The Club gathers regularly to care for and learn more about the gardens at the Discovery Center: the Shoreline Restoration, the Rain Gardens, the Discovery Gardens, the Green Roof, and the newly installed Native Plants and Pollinators Garden.
If you would like to join our Garden Club, please fill out our volunteer application, contact us at contact@discoverycenter.net, or call our office at (715) 543-2085.
