The Discovery Center Bird Club is dedicated to offering a supportive, welcoming environment to anyone interested in learning more about birds. Our members share a love and appreciation for the beauty and joy birds bring to our lives. 

Expand your birding knowledge

Whether you are an experienced birder or someone who just wants to learn more about the birds in your backyard, the DCBC offers a variety of ways to expand your knowledge about birds. It also gives you the opportunity to enjoy the company and friendship of others who share a similar passion and enthusiasm.


From May-October, the DCBC hosts FREE bird-related programs on the first Monday of each month at 7:00pm. Check out our program list for dates and topics and visit the program calendar for registration links!

Bring your binoculars to NLDC!

Discovery Center Birding Trail 

Our trail system features clearly marked paths and informative signage to guide you along the way, offering helpful tips on identifying birds and their behaviors. As you walk, listen for the melodic calls of warblers, the fluttering of sparrows, and the distant cry of hawks soaring overhead. With breathtaking views and the chance to spot both migratory and resident birds, the Discovery Center birding trail is a must-visit for nature lovers and birding enthusiasts.


Birding Habitat Enclosure

Take a seat on one of the comfortable benches, and enjoy the soothing sights and sounds as local and migratory birds flit about, feeding and interacting with their environment. The area is thoughtfully designed with a range of feeders, including seed, suet, and nectar stations, ensuring a diverse array of bird visitors throughout the year.
