CITIZEN SCIENCE

At the Discovery Center, we train people of all ages and abilities to conduct scientific research. You can learn to experience the world in new ways, explore new areas of the Northwoods, and even learn more about your own backyard.

Get Involved!

Citizen science is the practice of volunteer public participation and collaboration in scientific research to increase scientific knowledge. Through citizen science, people share and contribute to data monitoring and collection programs. Citizen science not only contributes to significant research projects all around the state but also has the great benefit of building a sense of stewardship between people and the environment.
