Molly Griffin

Residence: Neenah, WI/Phelps, WI

Career: Retired from a career in communications.

Personal: The Griffins – Molly, Mark and their four kids – were very fortunate to be able to spend time over 30 summers at Mark’s grandparent’s cabin on Bass Lake near Eagle River. In 2017, the family purchased a four-season place of their own near Phelps, which is a great home base from which to explore nature in every season.

Thrilled to be able to spend more time in the Northwoods, the Griffins love kayaking, snowshoeing, and hiking. Molly has a particular passion for birds, frogs, and woodland wildflowers and animals.

Why become a Master Naturalist?  Molly wanted to learn more about the beautiful state of Wisconsin, to find ways to share her interests with others, and to learn to be a better steward of our natural world.

Favorite Resources: Kaufman field guides; Natural Connections by Emily M. Stone.

Words of Wisdom: When presented with opportunities for new adventures, Molly encourages you to be inspired by her 88-year-old dad, who says, “Why shouldn’t I?”
